Ssamjang pasta
Very basic, pretty tasty.
For the ssamjang, mix the following ingredients together:
depending on spice level, 2-4 tbsp doenjang
1 tbsp gochujang
quarter to half a finely diced white onion
2 tsp agave
2 tsp sesame oil
2 tsp sesame seeds
1 clove finely minced garlic
1 stalk finely chopped green onion
Mix together and taste it. It should taste good at this point.
For the pasta:
Ssamjang. No specific measurement, I just used all the ssamjang I made above
200 ml cream
if you want, some fried mock meats
200 grams pasta
tbsp butter
To make it, just put the pasta on a boil. In the mean time, fry up some mock meats, if you’re using them, and in a large pan or wok, add the butter. When melted, add the ssamjang. Fry the ssamjang for about 3 to 4 minutes, then add the cream. Slowly simmer, and if needed, add some pasta water to thicken things up a little. When the pasta is close to ready, add the mock meat to the sauce, and then add the pasta. Toss the pasta to coat, serve.
